It is hard to believe it is October and we could see snow any day now, but I am hoping it stays away until at least November. There are still lots of fall things to do and the leaves are perfect right now, so get out and drive around as I did yesterday. The road along the Crystal River to Marble is excellent, US 24 from Minturn to Camp Hale is steller, and a trip up to Maroon Bells won’t disappoint.
Fish are biting nicely, but I haven’t gotten to the water enough to enjoy them as much as I have wanted. Maybe this weekend we will get the kids out in the boat and work the river a bit. Water is running about 1500+ on the Colorado river, but the Roaring Fork is around 750+, which is a bit of a challenge in some places.
Got my Halloween costume picked out, so you will have to wait and see.
